School project on endangered languages, UCF January 2010.
The Sami languages is said to have over 300 words for snow. This booklet is made to raise concern about the language, and its unique connection to the arctic environment. Each sheet has an linoprint with a snowflake, together with a sami word for snow, and an English explanation underneath.
To open the folder you have to tear of the seal, just as you ruin the perfect white surface of the snow as you step on it. The sheets are printed on tracing paper to capture the fragile feeling of a snowflake.
